Cerreta's has been making chocolates in Arizona for over 40 years and are located in downtown Glendale. When you enter the Chocolate factory you are likely to be welcome by some masterpiece made from chocolate. On our visit there was a 300lb chocolate football, a sports themed heart, and a giant chocolate Saguaro. Cerretas doesn't make chocolate at the factory, rather they make candy from chocolate. The chocolate arrives to them in 10lb blocks, it is then melted down and poured into various molds to create the delicious chocolate candies. They make thousands of pounds of chocolates, carmels and other goodies each day. If you happen to be in Glendale during their annual Chocolate Affaire festival be sure to stop in and visit Cerreta's to get giant chocolate dipped strawberries. The Chocolate Affiare is held annually in the first half of Feburary. Cerreta's sponsers the yearly event offering tours througout that weekend. There are hands-on arts and crafts, face-painting and a rock-climbing wall, musical entertainment and horse-drawn carriage rides at this festival located in downtown Glendale.
