Glendale, Arizona is a suburb just west of Phoenix with aproximately 250,000 calling Glendale home. Popular areas of Glendale include Arrowhead Towne Center (shopping and restaurants), Westgate (trendy restaurants,bars,stadium and arena) , and the Historic Downtown District. Glendale has gained nationwide attention since hosting the Super Bowl XLII game in 2008. The NHL's Phoenix Coyotes play at Glendale's Jobing.com Arena. Next to the arena is the new University of Phoenix Stadium, home to the NFL's Arizona Cardinals and the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. Starting this year, Glendale will be the Spring Training home to The Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball. If sports are not your thing, Glendale has been labeled “Arizona’s Antique Capital." With over 90 antique shops downtown you are sure to enjoy a day of shopping. While downtown, indulge your sweet tooth and visit Cerreta's Chocolates, be sure to visit Caitlin Court filled with old homes that house boutique shops. If you love making jewelry you will enjoy a visit to The Bead Museum in downtown Glendale.
