Waste Management Open

Waste Management Open

Avid golfers have been flocking to Arizona for decades and with good reason. Arizona offers over 300 incredible golf courses with stunning desert views designed by some of the top designers in the industry.

Combine that with our fantastic weather, golfers are anxious to start swinging their clubs.

The PGA Tours Waste Management Open is hosted annually in Scottsdale, Arizona where hundreds of thousands of golf fans converge in late January-early February. There are two ways to see the Waste Management Open, you can walk from hole to hole or find a good spot to sit and watch all the players as they come through.

Wear some good walking shoes, the TPC course is very spread out and you will be walking. Don't forget to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on! If you are hoping to get those photos of your favorite golfer or an autograph the best days to visit are Monday-Wednesday.  It is still possible to get an autograph in between rounds on tournament days.

While it is true that Arizona offers some expensive golf courses, there are plenty of deals to be found. Generally you can find your cheapest rates if you are willing to wait until the last minute to find an opening with another party. While this doesn't guarantee the course you may have your heart set on playing at, it does offer the opportunity of some steep discounts.

Summer rates are cheaper than on peak season. Very early tee times or tee times later in the afternoon. We've found our best rates just waiting until the night before to make reservations.
