Roosevelt Lake and Dam
Roosevelt Lake is the largest lake located entirely in the state of Arizona. It was created by the Theordore Roosevelt Dam on the Salt River. Located in the Tonto National Forest, Roosevelt Lake is about 80 miles from Phoenix. It is a very popular lake for boating, water sports, fishing and swimming.
With over 20,000 acres of water, there is plenty of space for fishing in the many coves. Have fun wake boarding, tubing, jet skiing, or knee boarding. Or just enjoy a beautiful day on the lake.
Roosevelt Lake Park Entrance
Even if there is no one at the entrance, you are still expected to have a Tonto Pass in your car or they will ticket you.
Roosevelt Lake is the perfect spot to spend the day on the water, with many coves to explore where you can find a less crowded spot.
If you don't have your own boat you can rent boats or jet ski from the marina.
There are three paved areas to launch a boat at Roosevelt Lake.
