Central Arizona

Central Arizona is the urban center of the state. It includes the capital city of Phoenix and the surrounding suburbs, such as Scottsdale, Glendale, Mesa, Peoria, Carefree, and Cave Creek.

Phoenix is a vacation base and is usually a visitors first impression of Arizona. Phoenix has a great arts and culture scene, top museums, and a ton of outdoor activities.   Some of the best hiking opportunities can be found in the Valley of the Sun.

What is there to do in this part of Arizona? Visit a Native American Ruin, play a game of golf, see your favorite team at Spring Training, have some prickly pear ice cream. In Arizona, you can take a step back and visit where the old west meets the metropolitan.

North Central Arizona

North central Arizona stretches from the old western town  of Prescott to the ghost town of Jerome, and from the red rocks of Sedona to the White Mountain Area which is home to the  Mongollon Rim in Payson.
