Great Spots to Sled in Flagstaff, Arizona Wing Hill Sledding in Flagstaff Wing Hill is the most popular spot and about 7 miles closer to Snowbowl than Crowley Pit. Wing Hill is the larger of the two sledding hills. There are three designated hills with multiple sledding trails for every age group. If you are going to plan on sledding all day this is a great spot to do so. How to Get there:To get to Wing Mountain continue northwest on Highway 180 past Snowbowl approximately 2.8 miles (just before mile post 226) and turn left on FR 222B and continue 1 mile to parking area. open 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily Cost: It is $10 (per car) to get in. There are port a potties at this location and a concession stand for hot chocolate and snacks. Crowley Pit Sledding in Flagstaff Crowley pit has several different hills to sled or tube down, so great for any age. Just bring your tube or sled and have fun! If you plan on sledding for a couple hours this is a great spot to do so. How to Get There: To get to Crowley Pit continue northwest on Highway 180 past Arizona Snowbowl, approximately 9.8 miles (about 1 mile past the Flagstaff Nordic Center) and turn left at the parking sign (mile post 233) and continue to the parking area.
